Testimonials
"I thoroughly recommend Pets First to any pet owner. Ros looked
after Henry for more than 6 years and her arrival was a
highlight of Henry's day. She's totally reliable, flexible,
hardworking and committed. And lovely too! "

"Ros has been walking our little dog Monty since he was a small
puppy of 4 months. Ros has an amazing natural ability and calm
manner with dogs and this has certainly helped with training and
behaviour during the time she has been walking Monty over the past
18 months. He is still a young dog but so well behaved now! In
addition, Ros is 100% reliable, trustworthy and discreet and I can’t
recommend her highly enough. "

"Ros is the kindest and most caring person you could ever wish
to meet. She walked Buffy for more than 5 years, was totally
reliable, 100% trustworthy and went the extra mile. We couldn't have
wished for more in someone who cared for and walked Buffy. An
absolute star."

"Pets First and Ros, in a word, "Amazing".
Never before have I met someone who is so committed and enjoys
their job more than Ros. My two cats adore her (and she's also very
popular with the houseplants too!), nothing is ever too much
trouble. An honest, reliable, hardworking, and lovely lady. I know
when I go away that Squeaky and Bonnie are in safe and loving
hands."
Tracey Ruddock - Maidenhead
"I cannot recommend Ros highly enough for the care,
kindness and patience she shows to our two cats. They are
part of our family and Ros treats them as her own. We could not
wish for better!"
Rachel Ancliffe - Waltham St. Lawrence
"If you treat your pet as one of the family then using Ros at
pets First to care for it will be the best decision you make. Ros
has been walking our golden retriever for over two years and he
adores her ( more than me most of the time!!) She is trustworthy,
reliable, kind and above all will treat your pet with the utmost
respect and care as if it was one of her own. I would highly
recommend Ros and consider her a good friend."
Zoe Darling-Smith - Bray
"Ros has walked and looked after Pepsi, our Black Labrador for
two years. Pepsi loves her.
She is totally reliable and trustworthy, providing an
excellent service with love and commitment.
I would highly recommend Ros and Pets First... there is no one
else for us."
Jenny Blythe - Maidenhead
"I am only too happy to recommend your services to others. The
fact that you arrive in an unmarked car I rate as a plus point and I
know Gordon will be well looked after by you. plus the fish as and
when the need arises. I also know that the kitchen will look clean
and tidy when I get back and that you will have cleared the mail and
watered my house plants and pots. All in all an excellent service
for which I once again thank you very much.."
Gill Watkins - Pinkneys Green
"Our cat Widget is a rescue cat and is nervous in new
situations so we didn't want to put him through the stress of a
cattery while we were on holiday. Ros from Pets First was
recommended to us and on her visit to meet Widget she quickly put my
mind at rest. Knowing that she was calling in each day to feed and
stroke Widget meant that we could enjoy our holiday without
worrying. On our return he was very happy and settled - we are so
pleased to have found Ros as we know that if we are away Widget will
be able to stay in his usual surroundings and have someone to check
on him and give him some attention."
Rachel Andrew - Maidenhead
"Ros started walking Poppy, our Cocker Spaniel, at the
beginning of 2008. She has proven to be exceptionally reliable,
punctual and trustworthy.
More than this she has an incredibly kind and caring nature
with a great love and committment for animals. Poppy waits excitedly
for Ros to arrive each day and always returns extremely happy and
contented.
In addition to walking Poppy Ros has also looked after our two
cats when we have been away and has always left the house spotless.
In short Ros is one in a million."
Siobhan O'Neill - Pinkneys Green
"Thank you once again for your kindness and help with Gussie
and Florence. They were both very happy and you gave them so much
love and attention.
I shall miss you in London."
Marie Platford - Pinkneys Green
"Ros has walked and looked after Jake for quite a while now.
Jake absolutely adores her and looks forward to her dog walking
visits.
I would highly recommend Pets First as they provide:- an
excellent level of service, trust, reliability, flexibility and
above all care of pets. They are in two words Top Notch."
Karen Henderson - Maidenhead
"I have used Ros on many occasions when we have been away for
the day but needed someone reliable to walk our rescue dog
Marley.
Ros is truly professional and Marley loves her! I don't
like leaving a 16month old energetic lab/greyhound cross but know
that Ros will give him the exercise he needs.
Thank you Ros - I couldn't be without you."
Jane Miller - Maidenhead
"Ros, I can't thank you enough! Poppet is so
happy, so different to how she is when we usually get back. We love
the photo too! I really hope you can do our remaining holidays this
year. It would be such a comfort"
Claire Howman - Bray
"I have chosen to hand the business over to Ros as I
am confident she will always put the pets’ best interests first and
will be reliable and trustworthy. Furthermore, I know she is
committed to caring for all animals as she has carried out
charitable work in recent years and she is dedicated to running Pets
First as it has been for the past 4 years."
Sarah Baker, Pets First
"I have known Ros since she first came to work at the Gray Cancer
Institute nearly 19 years ago. Since her professional output was
almost always on target, questions about work such as: "How is the
project progressing?" slowly turned into "How are your cats?". We
shared an appreciation of moggies. I have not minded too much
that her notice board and hard drive are littered with photographs
of cats; nor being badgered to buy raffle tickets or sign
sponsorship forms for some good feline cause. I was at times bemused
by some of her holiday destination choices though: spending a week
at a cattery in January; or working 16 hour days in the Canary
Islands helping with a 'neuter and release' scheme is not everyone's
idea of a relaxing break. She is happy to depend on her own
initiative and is extremely resourceful when faced with all manner
of difficulties. She can be relied upon not to give up when times
are hard and answers elusive; I do not recall that she has ever left
some task not completed. It is through her calm approach that I have
come to believe that anyone involved with often infuriating
computers should also, as a matter of course, like all animals and
cats in particular!"
Prof. Borivoj Vojnovic, Head of Group, Gray Cancer
Institute
"I have known Ros for quite a long time during
her years of helping on a voluntary basis at Kitty Cat Rescue.
She has always been compassionate and caring about the welfare of
the cats that came into the rescue and also about the ones that we
found ourselves unable to help. Ros was also involved with the
administration of the rescue, editing our news letter and helping to
deal with collection boxes. I have always been able to rely on
the fact that if Ros said that she would do something, it would be
done."
